Transforming Spaces with Color
May 3, 2026
Color is the most powerful tool in interior design, yet it's often the most misunderstood. A single shade can make a room feel larger, warmer, more intimate, or more energized.
The Psychology of Color
Warm tones — reds, oranges, yellows — advance toward the viewer, creating intimacy and energy. Cool tones — blues, greens, purples — recede, creating a sense of space and calm.
But it's rarely that simple. The undertone of a color — whether it leans warm or cool — interacts with the room's natural light, artificial lighting, furnishings, and even the view from the windows.
Our Consultation Process
We begin every color consultation with a conversation about how the space is used, what mood the homeowner wants to create, and what existing elements need to be considered.
From there, we develop a curated palette — typically three to five colors that work in harmony across the space.
> "The right color doesn't just change a room. It changes how you feel every time you walk into it."
Trending Palettes for 2025
This year, we're seeing a return to natural, earthy tones:
- **Warm Whites:** Not stark or clinical, but soft and inviting
- **Sage Greens:** Bringing the calm of nature indoors
- **Charcoal Accents:** Adding depth and sophistication
- **Terracotta:** Earthy warmth that grounds a space
The best palettes feel both timeless and contemporary — they won't date, but they feel fresh and current.
